What Eventbrite fees and charges add up to

A US dollar estimate of Eventbrite’s published service and processing fees, compared with Lineup Day on one $25 ticket and on 100 tickets.

Published 26 October 2026

Eventbrite’s US fee is not one number. A paid ticket picks up a service fee, and the order picks up payment processing. The two get rounded separately, so a quick “about 7%” sketch is a poor way to price a ticket.

The rates below are the ones published for the United States and used in the Eventbrite fee calculator. They were checked against Eventbrite’s organizer pricing page on 25 October 2026. Figures are USD. This page does not change a live event.

The pieces

  • Eventbrite service fee: 3.7% of the ticket price, plus USD 1.79, per paid ticket.
  • Eventbrite processing: 2.9% of the ticket subtotal plus that service fee, rounded once per order.
  • Lineup Day service fee: 3% of the ticket price, plus USD 0.50, per paid ticket. The guest pays this on Club. Free tickets have no service fee.
  • Lineup Day processing in the example: 2.9% plus USD 0.30 per order, applied to the ticket subtotal plus the service fee. That processor rate is an editable assumption, not a Stripe quote.

One USD 25 ticket

One ticket, one order, using the calculator’s default processor assumption.

ItemServiceProcessingTotal
Lineup DayUSD 1.25USD 1.06USD 2.31
Eventbrite USUSD 2.72USD 0.80USD 3.52

The service fee is higher on the Eventbrite side. Processing is higher on the Lineup Day side of this particular assumption, because the fixed USD 0.30 is charged on the order and Eventbrite’s published processing line in this model has no matching fixed fee. The estimated total is still lower for Lineup Day: USD 2.31 against USD 3.52.

One hundred tickets, sold one at a time

Same USD 25 price, 100 tickets, one ticket per order. Face value is USD 2,500.

ItemServiceProcessingTotal
Lineup DayUSD 125.00USD 106.00USD 231.00
Eventbrite USUSD 272.00USD 80.00USD 352.00

The gap is USD 121.00 on this example. It scales in a straight line only while every order contains one ticket. Processing is per order, so two tickets bought together are not twice the one-ticket fee. Change “Tickets per order” in the calculator before you treat a number as your event.

What the estimate leaves out

  • Malaysian SST and any other tax. When SST applies on Lineup Day, it is added to the platform fee only, and the organizer assesses tax on their own ticket.
  • Refunds, chargebacks, currency conversion, and a negotiated Eventbrite or Stripe rate.
  • A different Eventbrite country schedule. The 3.7% and USD 1.79 figures are the published US rates.
  • Who pays. Passing the fee to the guest and absorbing it are both possible. The comparison is the size of the fee, not the checkout screen.

If you are still setting the ticket price, put the fee next to the rest of the costs in the event budget planner. Enter ticket income after the fees you expect to bear. The planning checklist walks through that break-even sum: from budget to the door.

Good to know

What are the published US Eventbrite fees used here?

3.7% plus USD 1.79 service fee per paid ticket, plus 2.9% payment processing on the ticket subtotal and the service fee, rounded per order. Source checked 25 October 2026.

Is this the amount Eventbrite will charge me?

No. It is a planning estimate for published US rates. Country pricing, taxes, refunds, currency conversion, and negotiated rates can change the bill.

Who pays the fee, the guest or the organizer?

The figures are the fees attached to the sale. Event settings decide whether the guest pays them on top or the organizer absorbs them.
